Under the general supervision and direction of the Title VII Supervisor to assist in all
aspects of the development of bilingual Vietnamese/English software in Science for 6-12th
grade students and to perform related work consistent with the job description .
III.
Examples of Duties
Develop bilingual Vietnamese/English instructional software in Science for 6 -12th.
Design software program to document data for project evaluation purpose. Develop
software refinements, modifications and enhancements. Review and recommend
appropriate software which will ensure the achievement of project goals. Compile statistics
and maintain records and reports necessary for effective project monitoring activities in a
timely manner. Coordinate and supervise all input to the computer including: basic student
data, statistical report, inventory of developed and purchased materials. Train project staff in
the use of developed software with LEP students. Coordinate training activities for project
parents in the use of computer and bilingual Vietnamese/English software. Attend
workshops on Sheltered Techniques for Secondary Instruction for Mathematics and
Science which are being used with LEP students; other related duties as assigned.
IV.
Distinguishing Characteristics
This position is for a three year special project under Title VII Grant entitled VISUAL
(Vietnamese Innovative Software Usage for Academic Learning).

Education/Training/Experience:
College level course work in Mathematics, Science and related studies.
A minimum of two years of experience in working with computer on
educational projects. Experience in educational software development and
statistical analysis. Experience and training which meets or exceeds the standards of
knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.
D.
Licenses/Certificates:
Valid California Driver's License.
VI.
Specific Qualifications
Bilingual/biliterate Vietnamese/English is required.
