Repairs and completely overhauls a wide variety of audio-visual equipment; rebuilds
equipment as necessary; alters equipment as necessary to meet special requirements; uses,
repairs, and maintains shop equipment; maintains records of repairs and conditions of
equipment; advises supervisor when equipment should be replaced; assists in preparing
specifications for new equipment, reviews bids submitted by vendors; demonstrates the use
of equipment to faculty members; orders and maintains parts inventory; trains and assigns
work to part-time helpers; maintains and enters data through the use of computer terminals;
conducts inspections and inventories of equipment
