I.Title:Maintenance Overseer

II.Definition:

Under direction, of Manager of Maintenance and School Construction to work with and supervise skilled trades personnel in a manner that will provide for efficient maintenance of school buildings and equipment.

III. Examples of Duties

Orders supplies and materials, plans and estimates time and materials for completion of work order requisitions; receives emergency calls on a twenty-four hour basis; works with and supervises skilled trades personnel; assigns and directs the work of skilled trades workers; monitors and evaluates maintenance schedules; meets with school site administrators to evaluate work order requests or to provide support information.

Good judgment in planning and emergency response to building and maintenance issues.

V.Employment Standards

A.Knowledge of: Building maintenance and construction.

B.Ability to: Lay out and supervise the work of others. Read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications. Make estimates of cost for building repairs and improvements. Work under stress and meet important time schedules.

C.Work harmoniously with staff and community. Follow oral and written instructions.

D.Licenses/Certificates Valid California Drivers License.
