Definition

 |
Under specific supervision, is responsible for the service of telephone equipment. Analyzes
problems, develops needed software parameters, installs and maintains communication
equipment.

Examples of Duties
|
 |
Installs and performs preventative and on-call maintenance on telephone equipment
including, but not limited to: telephones, telephone switches, voice mail, public address,
intercom, cabling; including voice, data T1 and fiber and other related equipment and
services. Maintains detailed records on repairs and installation activities for equipment
throughout the District. In conjunction with a Telephone/Network Coordinator, coordinates
and fulfills service requests for installation, relocation, repair and maintenance with other
computer center personnel, vendors and contractors where appropriate, and the user
requesting the services.
