Definition:

 |
Under the general direction of the Materials Manager, supervises the receiving, warehousing
and delivery of orders for materials, supplies, equipment and services for the District.
Plans, coordinates and assigns and evaluates the work of storekeepers and delivery staff.
|

Examples of Duties
|
 |
Supervises and reviews the receiving, warehousing and distribution work of assigned staff;
analyzes workload and determines priorities for work; advises subordinate personnel on
policies and procedures; authorizes deviations in procedures when circumstances warrant;
assists in selection of warehouse and delivery staff; trains and evaluates assigned staff
work; maintains and enters data through the use of a computer terminal; establishes
storekeeping standards and procedures in consultation with supervisor; supervises the
inspection of shipments received for conformity to purchase order specifications; notes and
reports shortages, damages, or other discrepancies; routes and schedules deliveries;
supervises physical inventory; oversees servicing and routine maintenance of forklift, trucks
and other warehouse equipment; performs related duties as required.

Warehousing and distribution procedures and practices related to
receiving, inspecting, storing and issuing materials and supplies.

operations of a school district.

Education / Training / Experience
|

C.

 |
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate degree from
college with a major in business or five years of increasingly responsible experience in
warehousing and distribution including supervisory or administrative experience.

Background in data processing procedures utilizing modern office
methods and procedures.
|
