The special occasion was held in honor of the fact that Broadway's API test scores for the 2005-2006 school year had increased dramatically. Broadway has been holding special prep classes during the school week and on Saturdays hoping to assist students in passing the Exit Exam and other tests taken during the school year.

District Superintendent Don Iglesias, Assistant Superintendent, Rosa Molina, and Broadway instructor, Jerry Scott (also the San Jose Teacher Association High School Rep) pose for a photo right before the special recognition luncheon. Broadway is continuing its special math and English prep classes during the 2006-2007 school year in hope that the school will see further improvement in student test scores. Student participation, even on some Saturdays, has been tremendous. Many students are working extremely hard trying to improve their scores. |
