Lynn Frease has been with the San Jose Unified School District since 1987. For 10 years she was a "Special Education Instructional Associate" at Gunderson High School. Next, she worked with elementary school autistic students.

As her own children grew older, she was able to work more hours and became the "Police Secretary" for the District Police Department. She really liked this job, but missed the school environment and interacting with students. She returned to a school site as a school secretary in 2000. This is her second year as Broadway's "Secretary to the Principal".
