Hello, my name is Birgitte Smith and I have been teaching in San Jose Unified for 20 years. 19 of those years have been in first grade. I have a BA degree in Business and I received my Multiple Subject teaching credential at National University. My family is a very important part of my life, I have a 28 year old son, graduated from Chico and now is self employed. I also have a 21 year old daughter who is attending San Jose State with a major in communications. I have been married for 29 years (yes, to the same man). I enjoy reading, traveling, gardening, spending time with family and my guilty pleasure- watching any crime show ( CSI, Law and Order etc). I believe students need to become familiar with the new technology as well as our community and past. 21st century skills will be needed for all students to succeed and our goal is to make sure they do.
Here is your info:
Trace students work on 21st century skills in our computer lab or in their own classrooms using classroom computers or one of our mobile labs with laptop computers or iPads.
Before & After School Program
At Trace CDC, we take the before and after school experience a step beyond. We provide environments where children can spend time with friends, find homework assistance, work on school projects and be involved in indoor and outdoor activities created to take their knowledge and interests to a deeper level. All our activities are hands-on and encourage children to build new skills while fostering creativity and self expression. Let CDC be an experience your child looks forward to everyday!
