We expect our student/athletes to strive to succeed in the classroom as well as on the athletic field. Our athletes are motivated to push themselves in their studies and provide an example for our student body of effective time management, sportsmanship and school spirit. Our coaching staff is highly skilled and our coaches are expected to provide our student/athletes with the training, tools and practice they need to succeed on and off the field.
As always, I am looking forward to another great year of Willow Glen Athletics. GO RAMS!
Congratulations to Seniors Davis Miller and Kate Kiesow for their selections as February Athletes of the Month for the Willow Glen Rams!
Davis Miller started off strong, pitching a complete game no-hitter in the opener for the Rams. In 18.1 innings of pitching work, he has struck out 15 while not surrendering a single earned run. Miller has been equally impressive at the plate, batting .435, driving in 8 runs, and scoring 8 of his own. He has been an instrumental part of the Rams 7-2 record to begin the season.
Kate Kiesow has shown that the Willow Glen Lacrosse team is for real this season. The Senior Captain has done a little of everything to start the season. She has netted 20 goals, while dishing out 18 assists. To add, she has won 18 draw controls, caused a turnover and has recovered 7 ground balls. Kiesow's knowledge and leadership has led the way to an early 6-1 record for the Rams.
