Willow Glen Athletics

We expect our student/athletes to strive to succeed in the classroom as well as on the athletic field. Our athletes are motivated to push themselves in their studies and provide an example for our student body of effective time management, sportsmanship and school spirit. Our coaching staff is highly skilled and our coaches are expected to provide our student/athletes with the training, tools and practice they need to succeed on and off the field.

As always, I am looking forward to another great year of Willow Glen Athletics. GO RAMS!

September Athlete of the Month

spet aotm2018

Back by popular demand, Willow Glen High School's Athlete of the Month sponsored by Jack Holder's Restaurant on Meridian Ave!!

Jamison Evans has been an instrumental piece of the Rams success in the pool, as he captains our Boys Water Polo program. Coach Leresche notes Jamison's hard work and passion for the game as being key to the team's hot start. During the month of September Jamison has netted 22 goals, had 7 assists and added 10 takeaways on the defensive end. The Rams are eyeing a long awaited league title, which is definitely within their grasps. Evans will definitely be a huge factor in reaching that goal.

Whitley Moody has been as steady as they come this year. Her thunderous kills can be heard across the Willow Glen campus. Moody leads the team in kills for the month with 348 and has 280 digs to boot. A key member in a Senior heavy 2017 Mt Hamilton Championship team, Whitley is now captaining a younger group looking to stay atop of the Mt Hamilton Division. Recognized as one of the top Juniors in the league, Moody will continue to navigate our Girls' Volleyball team towards another CCS Playoff Appearance.
