WILLOW GLEN FIGHT SONG
March down the field and fight for Willow Glen
Send the Rams to fight for victory.
The team that forges on for Willow Glen
Shall in triumph write our history
We're out to win, so never stop the charge.
Till we're free to sour the victory's call.
We'll set a greater goal for Willow Glen,
And we will fight 'til we've conquered all.

September Athletes of the Month
Congratulations to Ailish Hutchings, Katie Carley, and Zach Walker for being selected as the Rams September Athletes of the Month. Ailish Hutchings has led the Rams’ Girls Water Polo team as their sole captain. For the month, Hutchings has netted 30 goals, scoring at least one goal in every game the Rams played this season. Coach Samson emphasized that she is a great two-way player that always makes her team mates better. Katie Carley has played an instrumental role in the 9-0 Mt Hamilton league start for the Rams. Carley, the Pugent Sound commit, has compiled 115 kills and 41 blocks during the month of September. Coach Pham is most impressed with how she puts her team first and is always a positive emotional leader for the Rams. Zach Walker has the Rams running towards their fourth consecutive league championship during his tenure. Walker began the month leading the Senior Class to a narrow one-point championship at the Early Bird Invitational in Salinas. He then followed that performance by winning the overall individual championship at the prestigious Pacific Tiger Invitational, running a 15:25 mark in the 5k, a current CCS leading mark. Our student-athletes will be presented with their award and a $25 gift certificate to Jack Holder's on Meridian Ave.
Other top nominees: Hayley Piazza, Field Hockey; Sara Morgan, Girls Tennis; Waking Bailey, football; Jason Arita, Boys Water Polo
Our Girls Volleyball team enjoyed a unique experience while opening their doors to a group of young ladies from Argentina. The girls joined each other in an open gym format for volleyball and then shared their experiences and stories about school and sport.

CalHi Play of the Week
Congratulations to Jason Arita for being honored Cal-Hi Sports Play of the Week
We expect our student/athletes to strive to succeed in the classroom as well as on the athletic field. Our athletes are motivated to push themselves in their studies and provide an example for our student body of effective time management, sportsmanship and school spirit. Our coaching staff is highly skilled and our coaches are expected to provide our student/athletes with the training, tools and practice they need to succeed on and off the field.
While our athletes and coaches do a wonderful job, they aren’t able to achieve success without the support of our community. Willow Glen Athletics is grateful for the financial support from businesses, parents, alumni and neighbors; all provide valuable donations that allow our programs to function at a high level.
All parents of Willow Glen Athletes are welcome and encouraged to actively participate in the Willow Glen Athletic Boosters either through financial support or by volunteering their time. The WGAB is a vital source of monetary support for our athletic teams and the generous spirit of our parents makes this support possible.
As always, I am looking forward to another great year of Willow Glen Athletics. GO RAMS!
