Related Services

San José Unified offers a range of educational programs for students who qualify for an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Related services, are supportive services that help a student benefit from a special education program and are based on the assessed need. Related services may be provided by district personnel or through contracted services and may include:

• Adapted physical education 
• Extended school year
• Health and nursing services 
• Mental health services 
• Occupational therapy 
• Orientation and mobility instruction 
• Post-secondary program 
• Speech and language development and remediation 
• Transitional services 
• Transportation services 
• Vision services
