San José Unified believes that family engagement is an essential component in the educational success of students. Our Office of Family Engagement provides capacity-building opportunities such as classes and workshops that build on the knowledge base and experiences that families bring with them. These learning opportunities are linked to student learning and offer a way for us to establish a positive, collaborative relationship with every family.

Family Liaisons

Family Liaisons create a bridge between our schools and families, providing support with communication, resources, and learning opportunities that help families navigate the school system and promote student success. Liaisons help families ensure they feel welcome and included on our campuses.

Scholarships

CalKIDS Scholarships Available for Students!

As a California public school student, your child may be eligible to receive a CalKIDS Scholarship of $500 to $1,500 for college or career training. Funded by the State of California, a CalKIDS Scholarship can be used for qualified college and career training expenses such as tuition and fees, books and supplies, and computer equipment.
