San José Unified is now accepting applications to serve on volunteer independent oversight committees for the Measure Y parcel tax passed in November 2016 and the Measure H bond measure passed in 2012. Members of both committees are asked to serve two-year terms ending June 30, 2019.

Qualified applicants must live or work in San José Unified, have a child currently enrolled in the district, or represent a local taxpayer organization, business association, or neighborhood group. San José Unified employees and contractors are not eligible to apply.

Each committee will typically meet four (4) times per year to review the district’s use of funds and ensure that the intent of the voters who approved the measures is being met.

Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis. Our Board of Education will consider recommendations for both committees before making final appointments.

Applications are available for download on this website at go.sjusd.org/measurey and go.sjusd.org/measurehcboc, respectively, or by sending an email to the Public Information Office at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) . Any questions should be directed to the PIO at (408) 535-6444.
