Teaching Future Programmers and Coders of Tomorrow

December 5, 2018

Growing up in Silicon Valley doesn’t ensure a student will be tech savvy.  In fact, many young people in the U.S. don’t have the opportunity to try computer science, even here in the shadow of high tech companies. To promote tech learning in school, San Jose Unified’s Lincoln High school teachers, volunteers and administrators worked together with Microsoft Philanthropies’ TEALS-(Technology, Education and Literacy in Schools) program to increase access to technology and the tools students need to enter high-paying jobs. By joining with TEALS- the school was able to expand its offerings. Learn more about TEALS in this video featuring Lincoln High School: https://youtu.be/9nlJr5ro1_I.
