San José Unified to Host Town Hall Meeting at Gunderson High School Monday, February 4, 2019
Who: San José Unified School District (SJUSD) will host the second of three community town halls during the 2018-2019 school year. Members of the community are invited to attend the event along with San José Unified staff, parents, students and community leaders. Attendees are encouraged to bring forth any questions, comments or feedback regarding San José Unified.
What: An open forum, members of the community are invited to address areas of interest. San Jose Unified (SJUSD) district staff will be on hand to listen and work through how best to address topics shared. All attendees will have at least one minute to speak; comment and speaker cards will be reviewed and responses posted to the district website. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP at: sjusdtownhall190204.eventbrite.com.
Why: Town Halls have been hosted throughout history as a way to provide the public with an opportunity to address and share thoughts on topics of interest with local and national politicians and elected officials. San José Unified hosts town halls three times a year as a way to hear directly from the variety of communities served by the 41 SJUSD schools.
When: Monday, February 4, 2019 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Where: Gunderson High School, 622 Gaundabert Lane, San José, CA 95136 in the school’s theater.
