San José Unified will begin offering in-person learning for some students on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

We thank you for thoroughly reviewing the information below before students return on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
You may request to change your student’s assignment to distance learning at anytime. Please note that changes to distance learning include a commitment to remain in distance learning for the remainder of the school year.
At this time, we are unable to accept requests for assignment changes to in-person learning.
San José Unified will only be able to offer transportation to students with special needs that have transportation as part of their Individual Education Program (IEP) in order to comply with physical distancing requirements.
Students that do not have transportation as part of their IEP are eligible for a free or discounted* unlimited ridership VTA bus pass if they meet one of the following criteria:
- Elementary students who live over 1.5 miles from their school
- Middle and high school students who live over 3.5 miles from their school
San José Unified began In-Person Cohorts on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. The last day for the In-Person Support and Supervision Cohorts will be Wednesday, April 7, 2021.Top
